Baby Steps

Most of my free days I’m spending with my little one and it fascinates me how determined he is on getting better at simple things. Simple as walking, simple as observing, catching, throwing, and jumping and so on. Many things that we take for granted, as if we have been able to do ever since, are the tough things that he is trying to discover and be good at. After all we are all babies and we all learn things each day.

And then we don’t. When I was a teenager, I used to spend countless hours at nights, actively writing in online forums. Sharing my thoughts, preferences, feelings, and hopes about the future in many topics. I remember my fingers not catching the pace of my thoughts and it was more than a habit to me. It was a need. Something happened at some point, and now I need to catch back the ritual of writing, and then probably reading.

If you’re already reading until here, you will realize that my thoughts are not organized, same goes with my words. This is normal. I’m just warming myself up. Yet, a few rules of the game to share to make it clear for the future:

  • Will I use AI to help me write blog posts? Yes, AI will help me to find sources, note my typos, grammatical errors etc.
  • Will I use AI to write blog posts? No, absolutely not. And it breaks my heart to see that the world is full of “perfectly written” blog posts with no soul in it.
  • No blog posts written will be deleted, including this one.

This is not how I see the world, and this is definitely not how I see myself. I’m somewhere in between those who (still) avoid benefits of AI and go conservative - and those who are full vibe AI, even looking for a way to go to toilet with help of it.

It’s evident that the tools make the life easier, and also blogging. I find it foolish to avoid that. But it should not prevent the creative part to go away, and that’s the way I’m planning to handle.

Some Tasks For Self

  • I definitely have to get better organized at creating a post narrative. This must be harder to read for someone (though I know it will be fun for me in the future)
  • I need to define the topics or scope that I have, so its easier to define what I want to talk/write about.
  • For the previous, it’s critical to decide: am I writing for the reader, or am I writing for myself? The ideal would be to say: both. But this is too good to be true at the moment.

So I guess in the end I will write it for myself, at least for starters. Hopefully at some point I will find the common ground for you, the dear reader to enjoy my tiny pieces of steps too.
